When one of our Magic Blades families loses one of their own family members, we are there to support them. When Amelia Haves lost her father to cancer in April of 2012, Gary generously made provisions to donate back to our Magic Blades teams in his name.

Magic Blades wanted to honor Gary by creating an annual award to be selected from an outstanding Magic Blades skater that demonstrates leadership, strength, optimism, perseverance and team spirit as Amelia did so incredibly while suffering the loss of her Dad.

This season our recipient exemplifies all these characteristics. A team leader, positive, helpful and strives to be better each skating day even through the most challenging season.
